I’ve been a Croydonite for the past several years and I have had the pleasure of seeing it radically transform.
Croydon now has a huge variety of designer lead venues craft beer and gourmet dining with unique spaces to host your event or wedding reception. Below I have listed some of the best new wedding venues of 2019 that I’ve spotted in Croydon to tickle your fancy!

The Store, Croydon
This alternative venue and bar is pretty new on the scene in Croydon. It has a distinct designer interior with a dark and moody industrial character. The venues food by ‘Humble Kitchen’ specialises in social dining serving up sharing plates that are vibrant fresh and fun. It won’t be long until they are hosting wedding receptions – so get in there now!
Beatbox at Boxpark Croydon
Boxpark Croydon like its sister in Shoredich venue is made up of shiping containers which house lots of little independant eateries. Beatbox hosts variety of events and has a 90 capacity room. The space is regularly used for club events, brand launches, poetry jams. It’s certainly got a nightclub feel about it and great if you are a fan of cools light.
Matthews Yard is an award winning cafe, art gallery and theatre in the heart of old town Croydon. It has a low key, industrial interior, giving it a relaxed vibe. It also faces right onto a historic square which is great for reception drinks in the sun! It’s ideal if you are looking for a chilled atmosphere and would like to support a independent arts community.
Yumn Brasserie Croydon
This venue has an airy, modern and luxurious interior. I also enjoy the splashes of bold colours with quirky industrial finishes. The food is modern British fine dining inspired by new trends.
Housed in a beautiful grade II listed building this venue in Croydon has an industrial-luxe styling. It has a relaxed vibe with subtle festoon lighting and flashes of neon. Standing capacity of 100, seated we can accommodate 80.
Mr Fox Croydon
Mr. Fox Croydon is a new cocktail pub located on Surrey Street. The location has a large venue space featuring Shuffleboards, Comfy Booths, Delicious Cocktails, tasty rotisserie chicken, burgers and a great Dog-Friendly atmosphere!
Nico Arts Cafe
This little intimate venue is fresh on the foodie scene. They serve up fresh cakes and sharing platters. Definitely a venue for a smaller wedding, but with a quirky arty interior. They can also team up with their neighbour ‘The Beer Cabin’ just next door for larger events.
The Beer Cabin
A tap room and specialist bottle shop in South Norwood with more than 100 different beers and ciders to drink. The tiny bar has two levels, and is stylishly decorated, suitable for intimate receptions.
Add some vintage glamour to your wedding day at Stanley Halls. Its a Grade II listed Edwardian arts venue in South Norwood built in 1904. The halls comprise an art gallery, theatre hall and cinema. It’s Perfect for a larger wedding as it can seat over 100 guests.
The Shelverdine Goathouse
Part of the Antics Pub family this new venue in South Norwood has a homely tavern charm with exposed brickwork and quirky interior details, offering English grub, live music & open mic & trivia nights.
