Leading up to the Christmas festivities we shot this beautiful Clapton Country Club wedding in north London. Alex & Lindy didn’t have a theme per say, but they love Pineapples, which featured throughout the day in quirky ways, from decor to clothing. Plus, Lindy with her Swedish background effortlessly added glam to this winter wedding. The ceremony took place at the stunning Christopher Wren church St Mary-le-bow. Alex being an Architect, the venue made perfect sense along with it’s central Location just up the road from St. Pauls Cathedral. With it’s colourful, graphic interior the church was a perfect place for the couples style, classical, relaxed but distinctive. Following the ceremony, guests made there way to Clapton Country Club in a big red bus. We then spent some time with Alex & Lindy at The Tram Store for part of their portrait session, freshly opened up by the owner of Clapton Country Club. The Tram Store has a rustic & industrial charm, filled with plants, which made a quirky backdrop for the portrait session. Following this and a few chilly group photos the reception kicked off with drinks (including their own beer brewed just across the road!) & canapés. The venue is new to the london wedding scene with a mixture of industrial, shabby chic interiors and ideal for medium sized weddings. Following drinks, a mouth watering Mediterranean style sharing dishes were served. Followed by the main of Lamb which was unbelievable! SO tasty! Then dessert following the med theme, of yummy baklava. Speeches followed with a heartfelt father of the bride speech, followed by a few surprises by the groom and a classic roasting by the best man referencing ikea. You had to be there! The party then kicked off with the couples first dance with an acoustic set, followed by a live band and Alex’s uncle dj’ing late into the night.
