Oxford wedding photographer Katy & Co.
Oxford wedding photographer Katy & Co. – Lisa & Matt’s wedding was really something from a fairytale. Every aspect of the day felt personal and relaxed. They married at the Minster Lovell Church in Witney, in Oxfordshire on a beautiful summer’s day. Lisa grew up in the area so Matt proposed in the ruins of Minster Lovell Hall, a 15th century Oxfordshire manor house. It’s a stunning English heritage site surrounded by a forest and beside the River Windrush.
Following the ceremony the couple walked through saber arch of plungers! Matt owns his own plumbing company so this was the perfect personal touch to add to the day. Guests then made there way to the garden marquee reception in Matt’s Parent’s Garden. Following the portrait session in the ruins and surrounding forest, the couple arrived stylishly at the reception in a baby blue Tuk Shop.
Greeted by a flurry of rose petal confetti, Lisa released butterflies into the air. A very personal gift from her close friends symbolising the memory of her mother. Music by Emily Jollands who sang and played the keyboard beautifully as guests sipped on signature cocktails on the lawn.
Before heading into a beautifully bright and airy marquee, very sweetly dressed by the couple. Florist Love from Katie dressed the entrance with a huge love heart matching Lisa’s bouquet and added touches to the outside hay seating. A little white post box for cards sat with blue and gold dipped hanging feathers Lisa handmade. A close friend also handmade a giant swing, engraved to mark the occasion!
The couple cut the cake by Suzie’s Dozen, a very tasty naked Victoria sponge cake. The first dance kicked off the evening with music by The Lewis Brothers who had the dance floor full all night! We absolutely love relaxed, fun countryside weddings which celebrate both friends and family.
Words from the couple
“We were so lucky to have lots of friends to help with different aspects of our day, don’t be afraid to ask! Think about everything you love as a couple and don’t fear to be different! Feeling worried about throwing it all in, but it came together in the end. My job gets really busy so it really helped being off in the week leading up to wedding. I got a massage to relax and everyone was shocked at how calm I was!”
