The lovely Oliver and Laura were married on a day filled with colour at Skinner’s Hall. The bridesmaids were dressed in very chic shades of coral pink, and the groomsmen in grey and pale blue. The elegant simplicity of Laura’s classic fishtail gown was perfectly offset by soft spring colours in her wild bouquet of white, blues and pale pinks.
The ceremony was held in St Lawrence Jewry, the official church of the Lord Mayor of London. The church is a stunning venue rebuilt by Christopher Wren after the 1666 Great Fire of London. This is a guild church filled with light featuring high white and gold ceilings, and framed with towering stained glass windows and dark wood. The grand setting was softened by a vicar with a wicked sense of humour…
A formal venue in the city, the Hall has lots of rooms to explore across two floors, including a grand banquet hall. The outside space frames a beautiful fountain, perfect for post-ceremony drinks. The first-floor terrace and front courtyard provide additional options. Having been a part of many many weddings, we can confidently declare that the food was delicious, catered for in-house with consummate skill. Beautiful dramatic settings, and delicious food. No wedding guest could ask for more.
P.S. who doesn’t love a candid shot of a weeping bridesmaid during speeches??
