Oxford Marquee Wedding

Lisa & Matt’s wedding was really something from a fairytale. Every aspect of the day felt personal and relaxed. They married at the Minster Lovell Church in Witney in Oxfordshire on a beautiful summer’s day. Lisa grew up in the area so Matt proposed to her in the ruins of Minster Lovell Hall, a 15th century Oxfordshire manor house. Their reception was held in a light marquee in Matt’s parent’s garden in Oxfordshire, complete with posh barbeque and cocktails!
Surrounded by close friends and family, Lisa got ready at the couple’s home in Witney, just a short distance from the church. Matt also got ready at his families home with his ushers and then squeezed in a visit to the local pub meeting and greeting friends and family. The couple got engaged in Thailand so chose a Calessino Tuk Tuk for their wedding transport
Wedding at St Kenelm's Church, Witney
This beautiful church next to the ruins of Minster Lovell Hall, a 15th century Oxfordshire manor house. It’s a stunning English heritage site surrounded by a forest and beside the River Windrush. During the ceremony Lisa read a poem she had written. Following the ceremony the couple walked through a saber arch of plungers! Matt owns his own plumbing company so this was the perfect personal touch to add to the day.

Following the ceremony the couple walked through a saber arch of plungers! Matt owns his own plumbing company so this was the perfect personal touch to add to the day. We also explored the area near by, the beautiful forest, river Windrush and the ruins of Minster Lovell Hall, a 15th century Oxfordshire manor house.
“We were drawn to Katy’s portfolio when we found it online and were so happy that she could travel to Oxfordshire. She is incredibly creative and worked with us to come up with original ideas. We are really overwhelmed with the result, our day was captured perfectly and brought a massive smile to our faces when we received the images. We will cherish them for a lifetime.”

Garden Marquee Reception
Guests then made there way to the garden marquee reception in Matt’s Parent’s Garden. Following the portrait session in the ruins the couple arrived stylishly at the reception in a baby blue Tuk Shop. Greeted by a flurry of rose petal confetti, Lisa released butterflies into the air. A very personal gift from her close friends symbolising the memory of her mother. Music by Emily Jollands who sang and played the keyboard beautifully as guests sipped on signature cocktails on the lawn.
Before heading into a beautifully bright and airy marquee, very sweetly dressed by the couple. Florist ‘Love from Katie’ dressed the entrance with a huge love heart matching Lisa’s bouquet and added touches to the outside hay seating. Speeches by the best men and some tasty informal bbq dinning!
Dancing, swinging and cake!
A close friend handmade a giant swing, engraved to mark the occasion! The couple cut the cake by Suzie Dozen a very tasty naked Victoria sponge cake. The first dance kicked off the evening with music by The Lewis Brothers who had the dance floor full all night!
