Devon wedding venues – Bridwell
outdoor wedding venues London
Tucked away in a beautiful corner in Devon, Bridwell opened it’s doors in 2015 as a new Devon wedding venue. The grounds are the most breathtaking as it’s so vast and feels very wild. Ideal for a festival wedding! The manor itself at the heart of it, is both very British and eclectic. With many private areas to explore it made the day rich and interesting for guests to enjoy.
Getting Ready at Bridwell Manor
Bridwell manor has plenty of rooms to explore. As the couple were both getting ready at Bridwell manor, it was interesting to see both parties mingle on the same floor. They had to be careful to not see each other, but made for some good fun. Many of the rooms interconnect and access the main grand stairwell for a nice bit of drama.
Bridwell Chapel Wedding
The beautiful stone building (originally a museum designed in a gothic style) is only a short walk from the Bridwell manor. Ashley enjoyed a calm stroll over with her father and bridesmaids following through the garden. They were greeted by a sea of guests nestled into the intimate mock tudor chapel.
Portraits in Bridwell Park
Bridwell Park’s landscape, filled with wild deer makes for a peaceful, dramatic walk. The house and grounds have so much to offer for an adventurous couple. We could have spent at least an hour walking and exploring!
“Katy and Wayne were amazing! On the day they were amazing – very chilled out. Of course, the best part was receiving the photos! They were exactly what we wanted and exceeded our expectations. I would STRONGLY recommend Katy & Co.”
ON THE DAY THEY WERE AMAZING. VERY CHILLED OUT.
Ashley + Scott
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks in the sunny english gardens to the rear of Bridwell manor. The couple later were greeted by cheers into the Conservatory which opens on to the gardens and looks out across the park.
Following the drinks the couple, father of the bride and a few other surpise speakers entertained the room with stories of the past and present. Scott also did a hilarious and hearfelt presentation to the guests using a projector.
Cake + Dancing!
The mother of the bride created this stunning cake topped with a golden deer, trying in with the wild deer theme of the day. Guests enjoyed a costume filled photo booth and raving to a live band on the dance floor. One of the best Devon wedding venues for sure! If you are hunting for quirky wedding venues in the south west, I’d recommend a visit.
